This paper analyzes the numerical control bracket (NCB) matching with the automatic drillingand riveting machine (ADRC), designs the mechanism of the bracket, completes the development andapplication of the numerical control bracket system(NCBS) independently, and finally achieves theautomatic riveted assemble of three kinds of constructional elements. The main focuses are asfollows:First, automatic drilling and riveting system (ADRS), including ADRC and NCBS, is introduced,particularly the mechanical structure and the working process of the ADRC, then the thesis designsthe mechanical structure of the bracket, chooses SIEMENS840D as numerical control system (NCS)according to the function of the ADRC and the size of the parts to be fabricated. At the same time,wires reasonably in order to make the whole systems have good EMC and ensures it runningsmoothly and reliably. Then, a special electric control cabinet is designed to accomplish theestablishment of the whole system.Secondly,on the platform of840D,the functional modules needed by the project are developed.In servo system, the SIEMENS1FK7motors are chosen as the servo drive motors, and thesynchronous axis control is achieved by using the function of gantry. Then the function of enable,emergency and limit are achieved with Step7software. In the system of position feedback andmeasurement, encoder feedback and grating feedback is used to detection. The PLC control andprogram mode development is conducted to the hand-hold unit.Thirdly, the control mode and function of the ADRC and the NCBS are analyzed, the mode ofcommunication is chosen by the principle of signal minimalist. The thesis designs the communicationsolution, chooses the transducer reasonably, makes the PLC logic accurately, and finally achieves theserial communication between the two systems.Finally, the thesis conducts an experiment of the measure of precision about the whole NCBS,chooses the parts to be fabricated and relevant parameters, designs the processing method reasonablyand analyzes the experimental results. Besides, the paper designs an orthogonal experiment for theparameter optimize of ADRC, which will give a hand to workers in choosing reasonable parameters.
