The auto-steering technology of the shearer rocker is the key to improve the degree of automation of mechanized mining face. Meanwhile it has a great significance to increase productivity, improve equipment reliability, extend the longevity of the machine and protect the safety of coal production.In this paper, on the basis of the traditional shearer artificially lifting method then conduct the research on the memory cutting method based on artificial neural network. According to the actual conditions of Coal winning machine cutting establish a mathematical model of the shearer spatial orientation; Put forward a shearer memory cutting control method based on artificial neural networks and the control method based on the Cubic Spline Interpolation, and compared the two control methods through the simulation experiments. Designed and constructed a shearer cutting memory test bed. Developed a memory cutting software test system based on the VB language,the software system which included the shearer inclination of the collection and calculation, the roller space coordinate calculation, the curve fitting algorithm design and BP neural networks predictive control.In the shearer memory cutting test system which involved the first cut using artificial lifting, and in proper sequence record the discrete points on the curve of the first cut cutting trajectory, then through the neural network training, predict the subsequent cutting trajectory path, obtain the ideal cutting path curve. Through the error analysis to prove the reasonableness and correctness of the neural network control methods. Thus in the experimental system, the shearer second cut and the follow-up of each cutting process automatic memory cutting operation is implemented.
