In steep and specially thick coal seam mining both mining methodor mine pressure problem is the domestic and foreign mining industryconcern. The study on Xinjiang Dahonggou Coal Mining in steep andthick seam slicing during caving roadway surrounding rock strata,deformation of surrounding rock in severe conditions are introducedin this paper, and the mine pressure appearance reasons for theoreticalanalysis, summarized the law of mine pressure appearance.Through field sampling of coal roadway surrounding rockmechanics parameters, a large number of testing and research,summed up the steep and thick seam roadway deformationcharacteristics and rules. Through the theoretical analysis of roadwaysurrounding rock deformation characteristics and failure mechanismof anchorage, rock structure interaction, roof moved closer androadway surrounding rock relationship, support-rock interaction andbasic control methods. A preliminary analysis of the original rockstress distribution, on the basis of steep coal seam mining ofhorizontal section stratification induced by mining special bearingpressure phenomenon, and the theoretical analysis. The site using adynamometer for anchor, drilling, drilling PEEP on the surroundingrock damage and deformation of multivariate information monitoring,combined with the surface deformation and deep layer of integratedmonitoring and anchor (cable) mechanical behavior test and test,thorough and systematic analysis of Dahonggou Coal Mine in steep and specially thick coal seam roadway surrounding rock deformationand evolution of instability characteristics and laws of. The finalanalysis of roadway surrounding rock deformation mechanicalmechanism and summarizes its failure reason, and proposed thecontrol of roadway damage effectively, ensure that the roadwaystability and safety, on the steep coal seam mining under the conditionof coal mine safety production has important practical significance.Further analysis shows that caused by coal and rock dynamicinstability and failure reasons mainly include the effects of coalmining depth, the physical and mechanical properties of rock andmultiple layered with mining and excavation. Mining working surfaceto promote, heading face from below into the coalface advancepressure concentrated area, produce stress superposition, caused bystress redistribution, stress balance and imbalance, stressconcentration is suddenly released, dynamic pressure causing severemanifestation, and the dip angle of coal seam, coal and rockbrittleness, top coal fracture, produce asymmetric torsion typedynamic pressure, exacerbated by the coal and rock dynamicdestabilization.
