The power function kinetics model based on the laboratory data was established and four-stage adiabatic fixed-bed reactor with annual output of 100,000t IPB was simulated in this paper. The suitable operating conditions reaction temperature 120℃,pressure 3MPa,molar ratio of benzene to propylene 3,circulating ratio 4,the height of catalyst bed 7.6m(each catalyst bed heights srespectively:1.6,1.8,2.0,2.2m),Propylene flow is divided into four parts(the feed rate is respectively:30,28,24,18kmol/h) and the cyclic hydrocarbon flow is divided into three parts (the feed rate of each part is respectively:130,40,12kmol/h).The simulation result indicate that under this reaction conditions conversion of propylene reached 99.02% and selectivity of cumene reached 94.85%,annual output is 130,000t IPB and 145,00t DIPB simultaneously, the result meet the requirements of industrial production.Since reaction is strong fast exothermic, there is optimal reaction temperature. For the activation reduction of MCM-49 caused by high temperature, heat exchanger was designed in reactor.lt is helpful to remove reaction heat effectively and reaction heat can be used for heating benzene to ensure the usage of energy and prolong the life of catalyst.
