Land desertification will destroy the soil structure, resulting in serious loss of soil moisture and fertilizer, reducing the productivity of the land, has greatly hindered the virtuous circle of ecological environment and agricultural, forestry and animal husbandry production, is currently the most serious and urgent solution ecological and environmental problems in Northwest China. To explore the efficient and economical soil improvement methods is become an important technique to improve sandy soil structure, sand survival rate of afforestation. Since to study how to use the soil conditioner in the end of the19th century, the conditioner has been booming with extensive use and new products and materials are also more and more, showing the development of efficient, low volume in the direction of environmental protection and complex special effects type. Currently, Domestic and foreign areas of research on soil conditioner mostly concentrated in the improving effect of the amendments on soil physical and soil nutrition on crop yield, while the study of native species for planting in the sandy soil conditions, and through photosynthetic, transpiration and other plant physiological indicators to evaluate the influence of soil conditioner on photosynthetic physiological characteristics of species for planting is still relatively rare. The study has a fundamental meaning in enriching the technology of sandy soil improvement technology.This article from the perspective of tree growth, physiological level, and soil nutrient status, recorded the change of the physiology and ecological indicators such as Photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomata conductance, leaf water potential after the soil conditioner is added. We screened suitable soil conditioner formulation on the basis of the analysis of its mechanism, analysis of the conditioner in improving the tree growth, plant internal organization situation as well as increasing the effect of soil nutrients of, and other aspects of the application. This article uses the orthogonal design of five factors four levels. The five factors included Soil conditioner type, tree species; apply quantity, Soil absolute moisture content, and deviation. While the soil conditioner four levels included self-made I, self-made II, market and water control. The tree included Astragalus mongolicum, Korshinsk Peashrub, Salix psammophila, Populus canadensis Moench. The apply quantity set also included four levels, which are150g,300g,450g, and600g. Soil moisture sets are8%、12%、16%、20%.We can get the following conclusions after analysis of the single index and multi-proxy investigations:The three soil conditioners have promoted the different degree growth of Astragalus mongolicum, Korshinsk Peashrub, Salix psammophila, Populus canadensis Moench in the new shoot and biomass growth. The best combination in promoting plant growth is self-made Ⅱ+Populus canadensis Moench+150g+8%soil moisture.The three soil conditioners can improve the internal tissue level of the four plants by rising photosynthetic rate and average leaf water potential and reducing the rate of transpiration and stomata conductance. The best formulation for improving plant physiology and ecology is self-made Ⅰ or Ⅱ+Populus canadensis Moench+150g+8%~16%soil moisture.Most treatment in the three soil conditioners can increase the content of soil organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and total potassium. The most prominent combination for improving sandy soil nutrient status is self-made Ⅱ+Astragalus mongolicum+150g+8%soil moisture.The order of the five different factors to the overall effect is B>A>C>E>D with using the method of range analysis. The best combination in this orthogonal experiment is self-made Ⅱ+Astragalus mongolicum+3000g+16%soil moisture with using a comprehensive analysis of least membership deviation method.
