The Synthesis Of Porphyrin Dimer Carbocation With Near-IR Absorption

Porphyrin dimer carbocations can be incorporated into molecular probes solar cells, nonlinear optics, and bioimagingwith regard to the intense near infrared absorption of their methylcarbocations. A kind of new β,β’-porphyrin dimer linked by allyl carbocations were syhthesized in this thesis. Porphyrin dimmers were synthesized using Aldol reaction of aldehyde with ketone.
