In recent years, nano materials have received much attention because of itsexcellent properties in optical, magnetic and electrical areas. Among these nanomaterials, there are the representative tin oxide and znic oxide. In the last few years, many researchers made unremitting efforts and gained great achievements inresearching the tin oxide and znic oxide. So far, the scientists have prepared metaloxide with varied morphologies by different methods. For znic oxide research, theprofessor of the University of Georgia Wang zhonglin’s group have gainedoutstanding achievement, prepared one-dimensional nano ring, nano wires and nanobelt, and made the smallest nano generator in the world by these one-dimensionalmaterials. And also, the nano generator was applied to the areas of electronic andmedical care in the short term. For tin oxide research, people pay more attention on itsgas sensor and Lithium battery property. For example, the tin oxide with differentmorphologies showed different gas sensor performance. Lou’s group have preparedthe core-shell tin oxide with different layers, and confirmed that the tin oxide withdifferent layers showed the diverse Li-battery property. Although people have gainedcertain achievements in the research of nano materials, there are also many problemsneed to make further researches. In the first place, the methods of preparingnano-semiconductor metal oxide such as the tin oxide and znic oxide are fully fledged, and the tin oxide and znic oxide with various morphologies have been synthesized out,but the forming process of some morphologies oxide is not very distinct. Secondly, metal oxide semiconductor materials with nano structure can be applied to prepareelectron component, however, some problems in preparing with high cost andinstability still remain, which need further efforts to solve and improve. In this paper, the experiment section is divided into three parts:1. To make use of hydrothermal method, the ZnO with cone-like morphologies weresynthesized by using triethanolamine as templates. The morphologies of znic oxide was affected by the dosage of cadmium acetate, THA/H2O ratio andcrystallization time which confirm by some experiments. Ultimately, we discussedthe morphology influence in photoluminescence of ZnO.2. Hollow tin oxide spheres with mesoporous were synthesized by the hydrothermalmethod. The growth process of mesoporous hollow tin oxide spheres was trackedby the reaction time and abides by the Ostwald theory. The hollow morphology ofthe spheres was demonstrated by TEM and SEM. The existence of mesoporous, pore size and BET was confirmed by the experiment of N2adsorption. Finally, thephotoluminescence property of tin oxide was studied.3. Dumbbell-like cadmium carbonate was synthesized by using triethanolamine astemplates with the hydrothermal method. The growth process was researched bycontrolling the reaction time. We got the cadmium carbonate with variousmorphologies in different reaction time. It also verified that the TEA/H2O ratio, dosage of cadmium acetate and crystallization time all affected the formation ofDumbbell-like cadmium carbonate.
