This thesis is composed of two parts:(1) Multicatalyst promoted one-pot and tandem reactions have emerged as powerful strategies to improve the synthetic efficiency. In this part, the current achievements in this field were summerized, including the advantages, difficulties and the strategies applied to address these problems.(2) A novel method for synthesis of various substituted α-allylated-α,β-unsaturated ketones via two metal catalyzed one-pot reaction has been developed. This new cascade sequence comprises a gold catalyzed [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement and a palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation. This reaction provides access to α-allylated-α,β-unsaturated ketones in moderate to good yield with moderate diastereoselectivity.
