In recent years, with the rapid development of the nano-materials science and technology, it has attracted more and more attention for the research and application of SiC low dimensional nanostructures. owning to their unique structure characterizations and excellent optical and electrical performances. SiC mesoporous nanofibers are considered as not only possess the advantages of low-dimensional nanostructures, but also have the unique properties of mesoporous structure with high surface areas, which could have the special applications to be utilized as photocatalysis and catalyst support.In present work, we focus on the synthesis of SiC mesoporous nanofibers through electrospinning technology with high qualities by exploring and optimizing the raw materials proportion. The main progresses of this work have been made as bellow:(1) Polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)/polyvinylpyrrolidone(PSN) organic precursor fibers have been fabricated by electrospinning the mixtures of PVP and PSN, which were dissolved in the absolute ethyl alcohol.. The obtained precursor fibers were then treated by heat curing process followed by high-temperature pyrolysis, leading to the fabrication of SiC mesoporous nanofibers with high purities and uniform size distribution.(2) The contents of PSN within the solutions played a critically important role on the formation of mesoporous SiC fibers. Fabrication of SiC mesoporous nanofibers with high prities and well-controlled structures could be accomplished by adjusting the PSN contents within the raw materials. The optimized contents of PSN for the fabrication of SiC mesoporous nanofibers should be fitted in the range of24-36wt%.(3) C-SiC composite mesoporous fibers have been fabricated successfully by electrospinning, in which the paraffin oil has been introduce to the precursor spinning solution of PVP/PSN/CTAB. Then the electrospun fibers were treated by heat curing process and subsequent by high-temperature pyrolysis treatment. The optimized usages of paraffin oil have been defined in the range of-2%to-4wt%for the fabrication of C-SiC composite mesoporous nanofibers with high quanlities. By tailoring the contents of paraffin oil within the raw materials, fabrication of C-SiC composite mesoporous fibers with controlled strctures has been achieved.
