NOx was one of the major atmospheric pollutants, and control of NOx emissions was main content of the air pollution control. Catalytic reduction of NOx was the most widely used denitrification method in the applications and research. In this work, catalysts with Kaolin as carrier were developed and used in catalytic reduction of NO reaction. With Kaolin as the carrier, La2O3and CeO2as the active component, a series of La/Kaolin, Ce/Kaolin, and La-Ce/Kaolin catalysts were prepared by impregnation in the paper. The catalysts with unmodified Kaolin as carrier showed good performance for CO+NO reaction, La-Ce/Kaolin catalysts had less load and lower activation temperature than one-component supported catalysts. La-Ce/Kaolin catalyst with1%La2O3load and1%CeO2load was activated at500℃.The airspeed (between10,000and25,000h-1) and CO/NO ratio (between1and3) had little influence on the denitrification rate. At600℃, space velocity of12,000h-1, CO/NO ratio of2, NO conversion of Ce8/K0catalyst remained above98%in the reaction of48h. Ce8/K0Catalyst had good performance on simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification, with about95%removel rate of SO2and NO at600℃, and12,000h-1space velocity. With activated carbon as reducing agent, Ce/Kaolin catalysts had higher denitration activity than La/Kaolin. At600℃, space velocity of5,300h-1, denitration rate was above95%with Ce8/K0catalyst. Ce8/K0catalyst activated at500℃on denitration reaction with activated carbon. Two types of activated carbon were studied as reducing agent and catalyst carrier, experiments showed that:coaly activated carbon performed better activity on denitration reaction than the coconut shell activated carbon as reducing agent and carrier; the effect of soaking time on denitration activity was slightly, but denitration rate decreased along with time prolonged when La/AC1catalyst dosage was5mL.
