Slot-machining of the nozzle cooling channel is a key process in the manufacture of large liquid rocket engines. The machining equipment exist is slow in machining course and low precision. Research on a nozzle slot-machining processing of new, efficient, high-precision processing equipment, to ensure China’s aerospace engine manufacturing capacity and quality is of great significance.Design a new groove milling equipment system software for early system software, automatic data integration, efficiency and low defect on the basis of a systematic analysis of the current nozzle slot milling and processing equipment and processing technology, combined with new groove milling equipment. The software has a data manual/automatic, single/batch multiple operations function.Unify the coordinate systems of the nozzle slot milling equipment; Add the sampling error evaluation of the raw data and modification functions; Revise data, Reconstruct the workpiece’s real surface; Taking advantage of the method to normal direction, complete the milling slot and clear the root cutter path planning to achieve the improvement of the software algorithm.Make a research on FANUC CNC system and its secondary development of technology. Based on FANUC310i open CNC system, using Visual C++6.0programming tools, combined with GE-FANUC developed FOCAS2library, develop a system software kernel and interface.Being referred in this paper, the software systems developed, is able to measure and process the workpiece automatically, communicate with the CNC and PMC freely. Also, it can be applied to different types of nozzle in sampling, monitoring, error correction, the automatic generation of the surface reconstruction and processing procedures.Production practice shows that the results of application of this study a new generation of nozzle slotting processing equipment, processing accuracy, efficiency and reliability are improved significantly.
