This paper is aim at the for leather industry in the recovery N, N-dimethyl formamide(DMF) produced from the decomposition of formic acid in the process, affectingproduction challenges such as DMF recovery rate and quality, based on the principle oflow concentration catalyzed decomposition of formic acid, design and preparation ofcatalysts for decomposition of formic acid nickel-based composite and its application tosystem performance research.By comparing the various optimization under the conditions of preparation of NiO,Ni/NiO and properties of nickel-zinc composite catalysts on catalytic decomposition offormic acid, filter out nickel-zinc composite catalyst works best for decomposition offormic acid. nickel-zinc molar ratio of1:1.5, citric acid added volume20%, precipitationtemperature of60℃,60℃aging4h, calcined for4h at500℃in N2atmosphere, thepreparation of zinc composite catalyst has higher of catalytic activity, in dosage for10.0g·L-1for4%of quality score formic acid-DMF solution of catalytic decomposition formicacid was85.24%.When the catalyst dosage increased to17.5g·L-1the formic acid ofcatalytic decomposition rate is up to95.34%, Declare that nickel-zinc composite catalystsfor decomposition of formic acid work very well. Molding condition on the activity ofnickel-zinc composite catalyst forming a certain impact: water soluble starch adhesive andpeptizing agent nitric acid addition influence larger on activity of catalyst, its accession tothe increase in the amount of reduced activity of nickel-zinc composite catalysts; the waterpowder ratio and help squeeze agent sesbania powde have little effect on activity ofcatalyst; add a small amount of PEG20000hole expansion agent, may be appropriate toincrease activity of catalyst, suitable dose of10%.Nickel complex catalyst for preparation of this paper and the actual DMF recoverprocess combines with high activity of catalytic decomposition of formic acid, preparationprocess is simple, cheap raw materials readily available, applied to good effect and so on.
