ZnSe which has been used as an important optical material, has a very wide range of applications.What’s more, doping the transition metal to modify its state can achieve the applications in the area of biological lables, solar cells. Thus, it has become a hot topic of Quantum Dots (QDs). However, there is still a lack of simple and efficient synthetic method to control the quality doped quantum dots. In this thesis, we synthesize ZnS using elemental sulfur, selenium, and zinc stearate powder as raw materials in flask, and optimize the parameter to control the properties of it. For further study, we have also synthesized some materials with different ratios of components as ZnSexS1-x by zinc acetate, sulfur and selenium powder. Transition metal-doped quantum dots are also synthesized based on these methods. What’s more, we have also synthesize core-shell structure QDs and study the relevant mechanisms of the QDs.We have got the QDs through solvothermal synthesis method in flask,the research contents are stated as follows:(1) We have synthesized ZnS with good properities in flask, which can be got through using sulfur, and zinc stearate powder at 310℃in anhydrous anaerobic reaction system.(2) We have synthesized some materials with different ratios of components as ZnSexS1-x by zinc acetate, sulfur and selenium powder by one-step method.(3) During the study of absorption properties and the morphology of quantum dots, we have got the quantum which have high absorption and size of 2-3nm.(4)In this system without pyrophoric reagents, we have doped transition metal like Cu, Mn ions into ZnSe QDs by nucleation doping and growth doping process, investigating the properties of transition metal-doped quantum dot. As a result, the transition metal ions have been added to the ZnSe quantum dots successfully.(5) Finally we capped ZnS shell outside the quantum dots, studyding the influence of the number of the shell layers.
