Conductivity detector was an important of ion chromatography, which was used widely in environmental monitoring and analysis. Most of the commercializationof detection was used in the mode of electrodes directly contact with the solution. The application of this design was more extensive, but the electrodes were easily contaminated. Capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection can avoid such problem. The research on capillary electrophoresis with Capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection attracted the attention of many researchers. Some researchers began to study ion chromatography tandem Capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection. This paper included the following three parts:1. According to the characteristics of Capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection, it’s sensitivity was stadied the two different connection modes. Peak too broad, low sensitivity, were more obvious in the secondary triage mode. These issuses have been improved in the triage mode. Splitless mode, the effect was ideal.2. Borate peak under different conditions had been optimized. An ion chromatographic method for simultaneous detection of boric acid ion, chloride ion in plating solution was established, and the separation conditions were optimized. Using AG9guard column and AS9anion analysis column, baseline separation of such two ions was achieved using15mM Na2CO3:250mM NaOH=90:10as eluent. Non-suppressed conductivity method had been adopted in this method. The limits of detection of two ions were1.08mg/L,0.35mg/L respectively, with recoveries between95.4%and102.2%. The spiked recovery was96.17%and the relative standard deviation (RSD) of peak area was less than2%. The results showed that the established ion chromatography method could be used to determine ions simply、 rapidly and accurately. This method could satisfie the requirement of the electroplating industry, also provide data to support the coating quality control.3. Method of sulfur dioxide analysis was researched and chromatographic condition was optimized. Atmospheric sanples were absorbed by the acidic hydrogen peroxide solution and detected under the optimized chromatographic conditions. With12mM Na2CO3as eluent, the separation was carried out on AS9anion-exchange column and AG9protection column at flow rate of1.00mL/min. In the concentration range of5-100mg/L, good linearity was obtained (R2=0.9999), and the RSD of peak area was0.14%. The detection limit was0.32mg/L and the spiked recovery was95.20%. Results show that this method developed is applicable to the determination of sulfur dioxide in the sample.
