With the rapid development of technology, the market of the products, which use theoptical free-form surface elements that is having been used in more and moreextensive areas as key components is gradually expanded, and the ultraprecisionmachining technology for the optical free-form surface as the enable technique for themachining of the optical free-form surface is the world’s leading edge technology, thedevelopment of which directly affects the market of the optical free-form surfaceproducts. Meanwhile, the design and manufacturing industry of the optical free-formsurface components needs to develop toward digitization, virtual and intelligentmanufacturing. So the research and development of the Web platform for theultra-precision machining of the optical free-form surface is very important andmeaningful.This thesis carries out development and research for the ultra-precisionmachining platform of optical free-form surface, based on Web applicationtechnology, using a combination of software and network, implementing with the B/S (Browser/Server) network structure. The client page is developed based on HTML+JSP language foundation, the server-side software is based on Java servlettechnology, data and information is managed and stored using the database,andNetwork communication is based on TCP/IP protocol,using multithreadingtechnology to achieve multi-user access mechanism.On this basis, the ultra-precision machining platform of optical free-form surfaceis developed based on Web technology. The biggest advantage of this platform is thatwe can operate in any network without installing any special software. It can be used as long as there is a computer with Internet access, but with zero client maintenance.The system is very easy-to-use, so long as on the Internet, apply and register a username, log and download plug-ins, and then you can use it. In short, this structuregreatly simplifies the client computer load, lowers the cost and workload of thesystem maintenance and upgrading, and reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).The development and research of this platform will not only promote thedevelopment of ultra-precision processing technology of optical free-form surface inour country, but also be of great significance to the popularization and widerapplication of this technology.
