| China is a populous country, but the important mediators-water for economic development, particularly the quantity and quality of freshwater resources is not so optimistic, nearly two-thirds of the urban water shortage, nearly three hundred million rural residents lack access to safe drinking water, nearly two-thirds of the lake have eutrophication problem, under the impetus of rapid economic development, increasingly serious environmental problems and increasingly contradictions between environmental protection and economic development, such a serious water crisis is not only a threat for the right of the national health, but also a direct threat to the quality and speed of China’s economic development. Under this background we study water-related small watershed ecological compensation issues.Scholars from various countries have made unremitting efforts on the contradiction between environmental protection and development, have explored different solutions, after years of practice validation, ecological compensation has become the most practical and most effective way. This study will explore the use of ecological compensation tools in a small watershed, look forward to solve the contradiction between environmental protection and economic development in the basin of the small watershed. In this study, we take the Qiaozhuang River watershed at the junction of Gansu and Sichuan as a case to define the body of small watershed ecological compensation, take dynamic game theory to analysis the applicability of the tools of "ecological compensation", use the Contingent Valuation Method to explore the willingness of the small watershed ecological compensation, on the basis of CVM data, use the "bargaining" model, to fix the ecological compensation amount in case studies, and analysis and design the ecological compensation mechanism in the case studies, from the micro-level, we study small watershed ecological compensation, to achieve the purpose of protecting the watershed environment and ensure the safety of drinking water, to lay a good foundation for the water security and system health of large watershed, and make Contribute to alleviate China’s water crisis. |
