As we know, the organic iodine compounds are very important intermediates in organic synthesis. Whether in the synthesis of Pharmaceuticals, or in transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions, it has played a crucial role. Synthesis and application of the iodine compounds have also been constantly engaged in the research and studies. As a kind of organic iodine compounds, diiodoalkene is naturally very useful. It mainly obtained by the addition reaction of alkynes and iodine. As early as1945, the reaction has been studied. So, let’s take a look at other people’s achievements in this ground as well as the advantages and disadvantages of these methods.Secondly, this article focuses on the synthesis of E-diiodoalkenes-1,2-diaminobenzene catalyzed reaction of alkynes with iodine. First of all, take the phenylacetylene as the example, we found the optimal reaction conditions in a series of reactions. Then we made the extension reaction of alkynes, and got a very good result. The great attractiveness of the method was not only the excellent yield, in addition, metal-free catalytic and the role of1,2-diaminobenzene as a Lewis base in the reaction were the places where we were interested in.At the second part of this article, we introduced the design and synthesis of several kinds of the host material for blue phosphorescent.
