Large die forging machine is the important equipment which is used to produce large aluminum magnesium alloys and titanium and titanium alloy.800万吨die forging machine is designed by our country for the demand of producing large die forgings, which has played a pivotal role In the national defense and the aviation industry. Tooling truss is the equipment that mainly used in the C form plate installation process of800MN die forging machine, it can lift, fix and accurate positioning the C form plate. Because of the truss structure design fixtures required complex, installation requirements harsh, using traditional study methods will greatly increase the design work, extend the design cycle. The computer simulation is now widely used in large equipment structure design and installation. With the rapid development of computer hardware and software, the computer technique appeared from numerical simulation to the trend of the development of the visual simulation. So developing a structure visualization simulation system which is based on the design and installation of large tooling equipment is very significant. According to the problems, this paper researches the following several aspects:(1).On the basis of research computer simulation and visual basic theory, Using visualization simulation,3d modeling and OpenGL technology, designed the functional modules of the800MN die forging mechanic outfit truss structure visualization simulation system, and find the way to make the framework, and the system structure.(2).On the basis of research of the800MN die forging mechanic outfit truss design requirement and working characteristics, combined with practical experience from previous FEA of large truss, establish truss structure with finite element model, analyzed he truss strength, stiffness and stability under several conditions.(3).Use3DMAX software making the geometric model of the truss, and saving as3DS format document, importing in into the system to product and control the model.(4).Develop the system which uses VC++as the software developing environment, calls API functions of OpenGL by MFC. The paper uses the man-machine interaction method, the texture mapping technology to enhance the system’s interactive performance. On the one hand the research contents and results of this thesis have great practical values for the design of the large assistant tools equipment installation, and on the other hand, it provides a valid reference for the similar visualization simulation system development.
