With the extensive use of composite materials in industrial production, and in the hope of improving the production efficiency and composite materials utilization rate, automatic producing technologies of composite material then generated. Carbon fiber, with low density but high tensile strength, has high specific strength and high strength to resist tension,compared to other composite material. Its tensile strength is three times that of the traditional glass fiber and twice that of Kevlar, which determines that carbon fiber will be used in all walks of life as an important materials in the coming decades.Fiber placement technology is a new composite materials automatic manufacturing technology, which has been widely used in the aerospace field this technology in developed countries, while the domestic research on the field is still in its infancy.The main purpose of this thesis is aimed at the carbon fiber placement head for the grid-shaped model. The placement head installed in a placement machine with the seven degrees of freedom, completes placement task. It mainly consists of the following modules, the guiding wire module, sending module, shearing module, heating module, the pressure head module, ect. Multi-fiber bundle placement module, with the most important change that reasonably arranges the functional modules of a single bundle,increase the guide wire channel and add the module mounting structure, is able to achieve a multi-fiber placement. Functional modules for grid-oriented but also the network structure of the core mold, do a good job in laying head to head stretched out the length and width control to enable them to make flexible adjustments. In addition, the placement head cutting module is supposed to cut swiftly and in accordance with model shape, which is the core of the fiber placement activities.The thesis completed the structural design of the multi-tow fiber wire placement head, with the help of Pro/E3D,establised the3-D model and accomplished assembly. Also it take advantage of the Pro/E simulation modules realize motion simulation. Using finite element analysis software ANSYS analyze the key components of the fiber placement head and the major task was laid in static analysis of the mounting plate and the driving wheel structure. Eventually, according to the analysis results and parameters, the thesis manage to identify the deficiencies and shortcomings of the institutional design. What’s more,the thesis realize kinematics simulation through Pro/Mechanism module.
