Human since the beginning of the industrial society,the tradition sources of ennrgy areconsumed at an alarming rate,mankind ia facing an unprecedented crisis.Development andutilization of renewable energy has become the root causes to solve the world energycrisis.Comparion of wind,biomass,and other renewable energy,solar has become the mostimportant renewanble energy,because of its ulimited reserves,the use of clean and theeconomic of development.One of the main way of using solar energy is solar thermal powergeneration,and solar thermal power can not be separated from the thermal storage system,sothermal energy storage materials in the storage system becomes the focus of the study ofsolar energy ulitization.Carbon materials with good thermal conductivity,low coefficient of expansion,chemicalstability,corrosion resistance and othe advantages of good wear resistance,have importantapplications in the field of solar storage.But its biggest weakness is the easy oxidationresistance in high temperature air and oxidizing atmosphere,to limit its application in thetemperature environments.In this paper,a production of several carbon materials stydied in the aerobic environmentof high temperature oxidation resistance,and analysis of the factors that affect the oxidationresistance of carbon materials.The main factors that affect the carbon oxidationresisitance:the degree of graphitization of carbon materials,crystal defects,bulk densityandimpurity content.And this paper analysis the impact og carbon products,raw materials andproduction processes on the microstructure and properties of the product.The experimentalcinclusion is that:The microstructure and properties of raw materials has a decisive influence on the performance of the carbon products of oxidative; The production teconology of choice depends on the use of carbon products,the impact of its microstructure and properties is not absolute.Finaly,this paper makes the outlook the application of carbon materials in the field of solar thermal storage.And thit paper designs a heat storage medium heat storage subsystem using the carbon materials and molten salt preliminarily,demonstrating the feasibility of carbon materials and the molten salt,a combination of enthusiasm for soalr energy application in theory.
