At present,the thermosetting resins was used to preparation fiber reinforced composites.But,the recycling of composites is a big problem, Scrapped products on the environment caused great pollution and this typeof composite curing volatile harmful gases.Especially,Countries paid more attention to environmental protection.So,Research and development of new recycled composite materials has become urgen.In this case,I started a high-performance fiber reinforced thermoplastic matrix compositesThis paper was divided into five steps.It studies the short carbon fiber reinforced ABS, continuous carbon fiber reinforced ABS, grafting on the surface of carbon fiber, matrix resin modification and grafting of continuous carbon fiber reinforced modified ABS alloys.In this paper,through twin-screw extruder,single screw injection molding machine, molding machines,fourier transform infrared, XPS,SEM,DSC,DMTA, TGA, universal tensile testing machine, and impact testing machine study on the best fiber conent of composites,process parameters, the infiltration process,fiber graft mechanism, the matrix resin, alloy compatibility and so on. The first step study on the short carbon fiber reinforced modifiedABS. The results show that,the maximum tensile strength is136Mpa,when the content of the carbon fiber is30%,the length of the carbon fiberis0.49mm and the screw speed is160rpm.The MFR is15.15g/10min,when the fiber content was10%. As the fiber content increased, the composite was improved by the addition of the use of temperature, whileadding fiber can improve the mechanical properties of the compositematerials but the excess will lead to performance degradationThe second step study on the continuous carbon fiber reinforced modified ABS.In this paper, the domestic continuous carbon fiber filamentand ABS were used to fabricate the thermoplastic composite materialswith continuous carbon fiber reinforced ABS by melt, solution impregnation and film stack impregnation respectively.The influence of the preparation of the ABS thermoplastic resin-based composites on the interfacewas studied by analysing mechanical property, thermal property, dynamicviscoelasticity and morphology of the composites. The results showed that in the different processings the mechanical properties of the composites improved with the increasing of the carbon fiber, which achieved the highest performance when the content of the carbon fiber was60%.But the different preparation led to different property of the interface ofthe composite, which could affect the improvement of the mechanicalproperties. Compared to the blending, the composite obtained by the sol ution impregnation performed good invasion to the carbon fiber the tensile strength was1100MPa and the ILSS was71Mpa.which increased by80%. The loss tangent was only40%and the storage modulus E’ wasas1.07times as the melt one,the thermal property also increased witha better interface.The third step study on the grafting on the carbon fiber. First of all,it was acidification carbon fiber,in order to lead into-COOH. Secondlyit was grafting by esterification. Fourier transform infrared show that thecarbon fiber have absorption peak where was3030cm-1,1450cm-1and1373cm-1.they were the C-H stretching and bending vibrations. In1250to800cm-1was the C-C stretching vibration,1600cm-1was the benzene ring skeleton of the characteristic, Absorption peak between770~650cm-1bending vibration of the benzene ring substituted.The experimental results show that, the polystyrene successful grafted on the carbon fiber.After grafting,the E′increased and the E′′decrease,it show that, Polystyrene can better linked with ABS,it increased interface of composite and decreased the heat loss of the composite.The fourth step study on the modified of matrix resin ABS. Through configure the different formulations of ABS/PC,in order found the best formula.Study on the toughening mechanism of the alloy under impact by the compatibilizer. The formula components of ABS/PC/PS-g-MAH:50/45/5and25/70/5has good Comprehensive performance, the latter has bett er performance.The SEM show that,the alloy which add to the compatibilizer,has voids and shear bands on the impact fracture,but the alloy which not joined the compatibilizer has smooth impact fracture,it was typical brittle fracture.The fifth step study on the grafting continuous carbon fiber reinforced ABS alloy modifie. Through the preparation of continuous carbon fiber reinforced ABS, the grafting continuous carbon fiber reinforced ABS and the grafting continuous carbon fiber reinforced the alloy of ABS.Studyon the factors which affecting the performance of the composite by Infiltrating process, grafted fiber and matrix resin alloying. The results show, Surface grafting of carbon fiber, alloy treatment of the matrix resin can improve theperformance of composite materials,but it did not mean the best single factor has best final performance,we should considering synergistic effects.
