The water resource is in short in China, the water supply for each person is far from enough. The dischaged wastewater even worsens the situation. Herein, the works focus on studying the treatment of landfill leachate in Kunming city and tobacco wastewater, as well as removing of phosphorus from polluted water. In this paper, we used the..biological..method, ozone, oxidation, photocatalytic oxidation, concentration method and combined techniques of biological and photocatalytic oxidation to treat the landfill leachate of Kunming city systematically. Biological methods..include. floating..plant processing..method., the. activated sludge, process and microbial method.. These three methods are all effective on degradation. of ammonia nitrogen (NH.3.-N) in landfill leachate. The removal rate of NH.3.-N from landfill leachate is more. than..90%after using four kinds of floating plants. Meanwhile, the three activated sludge methods can remove80%of NH.3.-N and the degradation rate of NH.3.-N was54.9%and45.4%respectively by two microbial methods. The affecting factors of ozone oxidation were also studied. The photocatalytic influence factors were studied. and biological method, ozone oxidation., mesoporous materials, respectively, combined with..the. photocatalytic oxidation, were used to treat landfill leachate. The advantages and disadvantages. of cryoconcentration and sol-concentration have been discussed.. The results show that biological method combined with photocatalytic oxidation. is an economical. approach. to achieve standard emission.According to characteristics of tobacco wastewater, we have used the activated sludge process, flocculation, ozone oxidation, high-speed photocatalysis and strong oxidizers. method. to treat tobacco..wastewater. As a result, flocculation, ozone oxidation. and. strong oxidants are effective for decoloring of tobacco wastewater, and activated sludge can remove60%of chemical oxygen demand (COD) from tobacco wastewater. Two kinds of materials. have been selected to remove the phosphorus from polluted water. The effects of reaction time, pH, and concentrations. of phosphorus on. the. adsorption capacity.of.materials were investigated. The maximum adsorption, capacity. of mesoporous La.-SiO2. for phosphorus was H.10. mgP./. g, while the maximum adsorption. capacity. of.the. composite. material. after..drying was up to.57.97. mg P./g.
