After trial treatment and using the appropriate method, the wood flour can be processed into Wood Plastics Composites with high polymer material. Not only do Wood Plastics Composites have the same appreance of nature as wood, but also it has the wood’s properties. For instance, it has the properties of being sawed, nailed and painted. Meanwhile, its water imbibition is low than wood and it never crack. In addition, it can prevent the erosion from termites or other pests. Confronting less and less forest area, It has great significance of promoting the application of natural fiber composites to research the preparation and performance of Wood Plastics Composites in our real life.This article conducts a relative comprehensive study through experiments and numerical simulation of the PE/wood composites, and the results are summarized as follows:1. Confronted with the problem of poor mixing effect of the single-screw extruder, the method of extrusion after granulation is adopted. In order to make granulation successfully. This chapter carry out a study on the granulator’s working principle in-depth, then the causes of irregular granulation and it’s solutions are proposed.2. The melt of the Wood Plastics Composites between the screw and flow channel was used as the object of numerical simulation study. In this condition, We get the distribution of temperature field of non-isothermal rheological behavior between the screw and flow channel through using the software POLYFLOW, and the influence on the distribution of temperature field of non-isothermal rheological behavior between the screw and flow channel by the screw speed and barrel temperature has been analyzed.3. After stimulating, we use Single Chip Micyoco thermometer and digital display regulator to measure the difference between real and numerical simulation temperature of screw and flow channel.The results are as follows:while the screw rotates at low speed, the shearing and friction thermal caused by rotation is roughly 13℃to19℃. While the screw rotates at high speed, the shearing and friction thermal play significant roles on temperature, the temperature is amazingly40℃to48℃.4. Once the change of temperature is known, the trouble which wood is burnt to charcoal is well solved, Wood Plastics Composites which the color are looked normally are successfully extruded. What is more, we designed the granulator on our own, the program of extruding the Wood Plastics Composites was obtained.5. While the proportion of wood flour and plastic is3.012, the content of wood flour comes to a maximum value.6. The heat tolerance of Wood Plastics Composites, Absorbent and Stability of size were thoroughly researched.The results are as follows:When the coupling agent weights12.7%, the coupling agent performs best, it improves heat tolerance, absorbent and stability of size to a certain degree. When the proportion of plastic and wood flour is0.92, the performance of Wood Plastics Composites is best. The Mixing effect of PP plastic with wood flour is better than PE. However the melt temperature of PP is much higher than PE, thus the wood flour is easier to be burnt.
