With its unique properties, Copper matrix composite has been widely used in integrated circuit lead frame material, high-speed rail transit areas of the overhead conductors, switch contacts.etc. The traditional way to prepare it includes casting, powder metallurgy and composite electrode position method. There is less researches on preparing carbon nanotubes reinforced copper composites by high energy ball milling. Therefore, it is high energy ball milling that used to preparing carbon nanotubes reinforced copper composite materials in this paper. And the main research works are as follows:1. The preparation of CNTs/Cu composite powder by High-Enengy Ball Milling was researched. in this process, study the effect of CNTs/Cu composite powder’mediam diameter(D50) and apparent density(p) by main factor of ball milling such as amount of CNTs in powder、BPR、rotary speed、PCA、milling time. And then the best milling parameter is selected by detection of material propertes2. The effect of CNTs/Cu composites by reduced annealing of CNTs/Cu composite powder was researched.3. The effect of CNTs/Cu composites by compaction molding process of CNTs/Cu composite powder was researched, and the best molding pressure is obtained.4. The effect of CNTs/Cu composites by sintering process of CNTs/Cu composite powder was researched, and the best rate of heating is obtained.5. The effect of CNTs/Cu composites by CNTs/Cu composite powder’mediam diameter(D50) was researched.By the above research work, the optimal parameters for the preparation of CNTs/Cu composite material are as follow:Composite powder median diameter (D50):20μm (the preparation parameters are:the rotary speed:500/700r/min, PCA:2wt%,BPR:10:1, the milling time:120minutes, the amount of carbon nanotubes (CNTs):lwt%, reduced annealing temperature:300℃, reduced annealing time:120minutes, pressure of compaction molding:1452MPa, pressure holding time:8minutes, heating rate:3℃/min, the sintering temperature:800℃Sintering time in800℃:60minutes. In accordance with the specific detection of the optimal parameters of preparation of CNTs/Cu composite performance results: conductivity:36.28%IACS, Relative density:95.01%, Brinell hardness:79HB, tensile strength:143.5MPa.
