Non-thermal Technique Applying In Gathering Of Low Production Well

Three oil fields are located in The Fifth Oil Production Company. They are Xingnan,Taibei and Gaotaizi. Every year about30%of the associated gas production is used forgathering system. The fuel consumption is high and some parts of the field are lack of gassupply. Study on non-thermal technique in gathering system was performed during the ninthFive-year plan. Such technique was also applied from then on. The study was divided intofour periods. Certain achievements were gained in different periods as the non-thermaltechnique was applied. Till now, non thermal technique is applied with dual flow line to allwells that produce more than20t/d. Non-thermal technique has been applied by stoppingmixing hot water in gathering system seasonally.Current status is investigated about the non-thermal technique application in gatheringsystem of The Fifth Oil Production Company. Oil samples were taken and lab experiment wasperformed to determine the rheological character of the crude oil. Flow line with plastic innerwall is decided to be applied in gathering system after analysis and study. Integratedcalculation was performed for each single well to determine the optimal depth of the flow lineunderground when the diameter and length of the pipeline are the same. Digital platform ofgathering system was programmed under different gathering stations to simulate the operationof facilities. Temperature cut off to accumulate paraffin along the inner wall of the pipelinewas determined by experiments. References and conclusions can be drawn from all thestudies to help the application of non-thermal technique in large scale.Pilot field trial was performed with three gathering ring lines that were optimized fromthe existing14oil wells and the newly completed109wells in Gaotaizi oil field. Totalproduction of the ring line is6~10t/d. Non-thermal technique can be applied to the oil wellsthat are10%offset of the phase transition point. Gathering system was simplified and thetemperature cut off was lowered. Simplify the gathering process, further reduce heating oilgathering line ensure oil field low, efficient, safe production, promote energy saving workfurther.
