Water-solubility macromolecule cutting fluid is a new type of anti-rust cutting fluid, with polyaniline as preservative of the water-solubility macromolecule cutting fluid. It is a composition which has many advantages for low cost, environmental protection friendly and anticorrosion strongly etc. It may play anti-corrosion and lubrication effect in the metal processing operations still can be used for stainless fluid instead of water in all kinds of pressure vessel and storage tanks.The experiment through classic weight loss tested carbon steel45#, cast iron HT300, copper T2, aluminum LY12four kinds of metal materials separately in different content added cutting fluids (001A/001) of corrosive medium, and then calculated its inhibition efficiency. The weight lost of immersion corrosion was used to investigate the effects of different content, different time, different temperature and different corrosion solution system on inhibition efficiency. And also to observe the corrosion morphology changes of metal surface, determine the optimal adding ratio of cutting fluids, and evaluate its anticorrosion performance in different corrosive medium.Experimental results show that the water-solubility macromolecule cutting fluid has a certain corrosion resistance. In3.5%sodium chloride solution, corrosion rate were found to decrease with increase in immersion time. In0.2M sulfuric acid solution, inhibition efficiencies were found to increase with increase in cutting fluids concentration, and decrease with increase in temperature. The results also found anti-corrosion performance of water-solubility macromolecule cutting fluid in0.2M sulfuric acid is better than the3.5%sodium chloride, for carbon steel corrosion inhibition effect is the best, the highest inhibition efficiency of carbon steel may reach97.36%.The results of thermodynamic data calculation showed, the adsorption of001cutting fluids in0.2M sulfuric acid solution for metal was in accord with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm at room temperature. The mechanism of001cutting fluids is physical adsorption, and physical adsorption is the important reasons of corrosion inhibition.SEM observations showed the inhibitor played a significant protective action on metal corrosion; it is visibly lighten for metal surface corrosion degree.
