Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become a very popular clinical diagnostic imaging tool due to its high spatial resolution, non-invasion, no ionization radiation and more tissue and technique parameters to offer more information. MRI contrast agent is a class of pharmaceuticals used to enhance the imaging contrasts between normal and abnormal tissues. Nowadays, novel target-specific MRI contrast agents with favorable relaxivities properties are the research trend for the development of MRI contrast agents. This dissertation was concentrated on design, synthesis and evaluation of novel tissue-specific contrast agents for MRI.This article have just from the two-part to study the contrast agent, and the first part of the article does the synthesis of two different molecular dextran connection aspartic as the carrier to synthesis one that which have new, low toxicity, biocompatible MRI contrast agent, and had been characterized through IR、NMR, elemental analysis and ICP, and relaxation products were tested in vitro, the results of the analysis, comparison and discussion, through the analysis of the results, We can see that the molecular weight of40,000dextran as the carrier of the contrast agent with high relaxivity, is a potential contrast agent, the application of value is better than the molecular weight of10,000dextran as the carrier contrast agent. The second part is synthesized by simple oxidation of gadolinium complexes with DOTA, and by NMR, IR, UV, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and testing by means of ICP and other products were characterized by the product of the composition of the experimental results for the Gd-DOTA·KCl·1.9H2O, what we have synthesis is a good, with high prospect contrast agent.
