The feather of high speed wire rod mill is that high mill pace, high precision in size and hightemperature. Require every components has good comprehensive properties at high temperature.Guide roller life short is one of the main consumption on high speed wire rod mill. At thepresent, guide roller are expensive because they have high content of aloy element.This paper, introduce make composite guide roller through precision casting. The out ringof roller is made by Mo2FeB2, the inner rim is made by low carbon steel. Mainly dicuss theprecision casting of out ring, focuses on a integrated condition in interface between cermetsand steel. Through by adjusting sinter process, such as holding temperature and time.Then testhardness, density and TRS of simples to analyze the influence of sintering processincorporating SEM. At last incorporate metallographic to analyze integrated condition ininterface between cermets and steel by TRS and thermal shock resistance test.The results show that best process of dewaxing is a little H2inter vacuum furnace. At1150℃and30minutes heating time is the best liquid phase L1process, at1260℃and30minutes heating time is the best liquid phase L2process. The sample is made by this sinteringprocess hardness’s HRA88, TRS’s1540MPa.Through metallographic test and EDS for cladding, we knows between the Mo2FeB2metal-ceramic and steel combine with embedded metallurgical combine owing to the diffusionof Mo、Cr、Ni、Fe. By thermal shock resistance test, found that there is no macroscopic crackat300℃, but has at800℃. The crack occurs in cladding, in addition the crack branch out in arather direction of vertical interfaces. After thermal shock resistance test, we found that thehardness of sample increase. The testing result of wear-resisting is that Mo2FeB2-steel claddingmaterial was superior to high speed steel and W Co cemented carbide, when friction pair is highspeed steel.
