Nowdays thin parts are used widely in manufacturing industry owing to the excellent mechanical properties, such as easy to deform, light weigh, easy to cutting and welding, facilitate automatic processing and etc. However, because of the poor rigidity, the thin parts are too easy to produce more adverse clamping deformation and lager let tool deformation when the clamping forces and cutting forces are employed. It is difficult to ensure the machining accuracy and clamping reliability requirements using the traditional machining techniques. Based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and finite element method (FEM), this paper means to explore a kind of practical and feasible mechanics analysis and layout optimization method. The main research work includes the following aspects:Fixture parts strength check method and finite element analysis method was proposed. Combined with the process of the geometry model, grid partition, create the load on the steps of analysis, the finite element model of the thin part was established and get the workpiece loading simulation cloud at a certain conditions. The clamping layout optimization system based on ABAQUS was designed bying using the MATLAB programming, which realize the between the data connectivity, and providing theoretical guidance for the use of optimization algorithm fixture layout.The fixture mechanics analysis system is established based on the domestic3D design software SINOVATION. Facing the clamping stablity of clamping force calculation module was designed, in addition, a fixture of main components of mechanics analysis module was created, mainly complete to sling, bolts and clip specific mechanics calibration and finite element analysis.Based on particle swarm algorithm and genetic algorithm clamping fixture layout optimization method respectively by design. Select the deformation as optimized object, clamping point position as the independent variable and design the program which to realize optimization of the layout of the program by two intelligent algorithm respectively. The results prove that the particle swarm optimization algorithm is more suitable for this topic research.SINOVATION and ABAQUS integrated system are designed in the module. The overrall structure of the integration system are deployed and the corresponding human-computer interface are designed. By using the MATLAB software the clamping layout optimization algorithm was proposed, which integrated system is as the foundation. The integrated system can be convenient to complete clamping fixture of layout of the intelligent optimization in the work environment of SINOVATION.
