Based on the summary of dithiocarbamate, amidoxime and hydroximic acid, the synthesis of carbamodithioic acid N,N-diethyl-2-cyanoethyl ester(CDCE), propanic acid3-[[(diethylamino)thioxomethyl] thio]-methyl ester(PDME), carbamodithioic acid N,N-diethyl-3-amino-3-oxoproply ester(CDAE), carbamic acid diethyldithio-2-carbamoylethyl ester oxime(CDCEO) and propionohydroxamic acid3-mercapto-diethyl dithiocarbamate(PMDC) are studied. For the N,N-diethyldithiocarbamate derivatives, their interactions with metal ions, adsorption on the mineral surface and flotation performance are also investigated in this paper.Using diethylamine and carbon bisulfide as reactants, CDCE, PDME, CDAE is prepared respectively by them and acrylonitrile, methyl acrylate, acrylamide. Then, CDCEO is synthesized by CDCE and hydroxylamine; PMDC is synthesized by PDME and hydroxylamine. The preferred synthesis parameters for CDCEO are as follows:the molar ratio of CDCE to hydroxylamine hydrochloride and anhydrous sodium carbonate is1:2.2:1.6, the react time is8h, the react temperature is30℃and the yield is85.52%under this condition. The preferred synthesis parameters for PMDC are as follow:the molar ratio of PDME to hydroxylamine hydrochloride and sodium hydroxide is1:1.7:2.7, the react time is6h, the react temperature is50℃and the yield is14.33%under this condition. Moreover, these N,N-diethyldithiocarbamate derivatives are charaterized and confirmed by UV, IR spectrum and mass spectrum.The results of the interactions between these N,N-diethyldithio carbamate derivatives and metal ions show that, the seletive actions of CDCEO with Zn2+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Ag+, Co2+are better than Ni2+and the seletive actions of PMDC with Fe3+, Fe2+, Cu2+are better than Co2+, Ni2+Ag+, Zn2+and Pb2+. Moreover, the result of the adsorption behaviors shows that, the adsorption capacity of PMDC is:chalcopyrite>sphalerite≈pyrite>galenite. Then, the result of the performances of floatation of CDCEO shows that, CDCEO have better floatation capacity of copper ore than butyl xanthate and N-carbethoxyl-N’-propyl thiourea.
