An electronic pressure gauge is used to measure and record pressure and temperature of a hydraulic fracturing process after the gauge has putted down an oil well go after hydraulic pipes. These records were important foundation for fracturing evaluation and fracturing technical improvement. But limited storage capacity of pressure gauge is difficult to meet the requirement of collecting records for the fracturing process completely. In this paper, features of pressure and its grade are obtained from a deeply analysis of practice fracturing records about more than sixty oil and gas wells. Pressure, pressure grade and time are selected as characteristic variables. Domains of these variables are determined based on fracturing process analysis. And membership functions are established based on distinct stages features description. Following these job, A fuzzy identification model of fracturing process has been built up and its programming realization was given out.Based on the fuzzy identification of fracturing process, an autonomously recording and variable period storage strategy has been given out which makes the electronic pressure gauge can distinguish distinct stages of fracturing process. In the fracturing process stage, this gauge could record and storage data intensively, meanwhile, in other stages in a longer period than normal. By this way, a new solution was supported for pressure gauge collecting completely and recording correctly.Test results under laboratory condition suggested that this method was effective.
