With the development of oil resources and the increase in market demand in the19th century, pipeline transportation get rapid development, rapid as the lifeblood of the state-owned oil companies. But with the growth of life and long-term buried in the ground, a lot of corrosion in the pipeline has begun to pose a threat to security, so to early findings and to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of pipeline transportation.Through studies the mechanism and type of the pipeline corrodes, and carry on the effective Non-destructive inspection for these type of corrodes, through conventional and the non-conventional examination method comparison, obtains one effective quick method--Ultrasonic guided waves not only to save the manpower, the physical resource but the financial resource. But use the Ultrasonic guided waves to examine the pipeline to corrode, drove that the guided waves along the pipeline dissemination, through the examination pipeline echo’s change, achieves one time to examine dozens of meter pipeline scopes, thus carries on the entire scope the examination. But, the characteristic of multi-modal and frequency of Ultrasonic guided waves, Causes the data analysis complex. Therefore, the correct choice and the drive sole modality guided waves may simplify the complexity of the problem analysis. This is the view of this topic in-depth study of the MsS magneto strict ive ultrasonic guided wave technology and the detection of pipeline defects. First, an overview of current research, and briefly describes the guided wave-related physical infrastructure; second, simply introduce the MsS technology’s application and the basic theory, and analysis the related influencing factor of influence examination sensitivity; Finally, by comparing the experiment, the surface corrosion was detected on different channels experiment to test the detection sensitivity of surface corrosion on the impact of guided wave propagation in accordance with a tubular dispersion phenomena and multi-modal characteristics, obtain the frequencies and mode of the most suitable detection through different frequencies and modes choose. After extensive experimental validation, the experimental results and theoretical analysis are consistent. Use of experimental methods for the actual test items drawn from a defect to reach the purpose of locating and identifying, reducing and missing undetected defects, thereby increasing the coefficient of pipeline safety...
