This study takes three ponds (area respectively for7acres,8acres and10acres) near by the Da huang hou village of Wuming county which is one of the breeding area of main freshwater fish-rearing center of Guangxi as the research objects. We took monthly water samples and monitoring in the breeding cycle in2011(from April to October), and water quality indexes including DO, CODMn, NH3-N, TP and TN was determined. By use of Grey Relational analysis to positively analysis the freshwater quality data of Wuming County. Finally, we found out the water quality breeding variation rules and the existing problems in main freshwater pond, then, we discuss the prospect of application of Grey Relational Analysis method in establishing freshwater quality evaluation model on pond aquaculture.The Grey Relational Model is used in this article by choosing appropriate fishery water quality evaluation indexes and using scientific evaluation standard to evaluate the pond water quality. There is certain practical significance to evaluate water quality by combining the advantage of Grey Relational Model and the practice of pond aquaculture. For example, the combination of water quality monitoring index and related mathematical model can not only improve information utilization, but also draw accurate quality status information, which can make evaluation result objective and accurate, and forwardly provide references of water quality assessment. With the help of Grey Relational analysis model for pond water environment evaluation, we carry on comprehensive analysis and evaluation on the water quality from different sampling sites and period, as a result, we get a satisfying evaluation result of pond water quality. It is meaningful for us to take the right quality management and control measures. The water quality based on Grey Relational Model can provide the information, such as the correlation degree between ponds and all levels of water quality standards and the overall quality sorting between ponds. Consequently we can fully understand the overall status of the pond water quality.Based on the investigation and monitoring of water quality for pond aquaculture period, we apply Grey Relational Model to analysis and evaluate the measured water quality data of pond aquaculture, the empirical analysis of this study shows that the Grey Relation Analysis based on the evaluation index system can not only practically reflect the conditions of aquaculture environment but also comprehensively evaluate the conditions of the pond water.
