The Environmental Analysis And Economic Evaluation Of Mineral Resources In Vanadium-titanium Magnetite Mining Area In Pan Jiatian

Mineral resources are the material base of the social development and the exploration of themineral resources may affect the environment inevitably. The mineral exploration in China hasbeen at the expense of environment. Faced with the deteriorating ecological environment, peoplepay more and more attention to the restoration and controlling of the environment and theaccounting of the environmental costs. It is significant to conduct studies on the quantitativeaccounting of the environmental costs. And Professor Guo Ke is applying for a project of a softsubject on geologicalsurvey. This thesis is mainly focused on the basic studies for the early stages.This thesis, taking Panjiatianvanadium, titanium magnet mining area as the object, from theperspective of environmental system constructs an index system of quantitative accounting of theenvironmental costs and uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to confirm the importance ofthe index system. The problems in the mining areas are: environmental pollution, environmentaldisruption, restoration and controlling. According to the practical situations of the costs of allindexes and the related data, the quantitative accounting of the environmental costs in the miningareas is made. Having taken environmental costs and the mining costsinto a comprehensiveaccount, the break-even volumes of the concentrated iron and titanium are: concentratedtitanium21375.79tons and concentrated iron128254.73tons. At the end of the thesis, combiningthe conditions in Miyi County with the opinions of the experts, the thesis predicts the projects ofland reclamation and makes economic evaluations, e.g. the period for recovery of investment inthe projects of land reclamation is8.5years and the internal rate of return is12.02%.As for the methods of quantitative accounting of the environmental costs,this thesis firstlychooses the methods based on the market evaluation which yet is restrained by the information,costs, time and the technologies, etc. Thus, this thesis refers to the previous study results directly,like the table of ecological service values in Chapter Four, Section Two.Main results of this study:（1）This thesis analyses the environment in the mining areas systematically, figures out thefactor affected the environmental costs, constructs the index system and uses AHP to confirm theweight of all the indexes.（2）The thesis introduces the theories, methods and accounting models of the environmentalcost accounting. And then it makes a quantitative calculation of the environment costs inPanjiatian mining area.（3）According to the mining costs and the results of environmental costs of AnningFerrotitanium Company, the thesis calculates the break-even volumes of the iron and titaniumresources. Then, this thesis makes an economic evaluation for the reclamation projects in Panjiatian mining area.
