With continuous improving of the level of the contemporary manufacturing and processing industries, CNC machine tools should have a higher processing speed while ensuring a high machining accuracy. Excellent dynamic performance of the system is the fundamental guarantee of the high machining accuracy in high speed machining conditions. As the important component of CNC machine tools, feed drive systems play a crucial role for enhancing the dynamic performance of CNC machine tools. So it’s necessary to study deeply in the dynamic behavior of feed drive system. In the actual processing conditions, the dynamics performance of the system is ofen changing. Thus in the process, only the accurate identification of modal parameters can make sure getting accurate kinetic analysis, and then it help to put forward effective measures to improve the dynamic performance. This thesis focuses on the modal parameter identification problem of ball screw in high speed feed drive system. Then mechatronic integrated simulation and experimental studies of the system have been carried out. What main done included:(1) Completing torsional and axial kinetic model of ball screw feed drive system with Lumped parameter theory, dealing with the relevant parameters of the model at the same time.(2) Discussing the modal parameter identification method, combining with the object of study, and proposing a modal parameter identification method of ball screw feed drive mechanism based on wavelet theory.(3) Building the dynamic model of ball screw feed drive mechanism with Solidworks software and ADAMS software. Getting vibration modal analysis by using ADAMS/Vibration module. Establishing the mechatronic integrated simulation platform of the system combining with ADAMS software and Matlab software.(4) Experimental studies on torsional and axial modes of the the ball screw feed drive system have been done by using high-resolution rotary encoders and acceleration sensors. And simulation mode natural frequency is basically the same, and verify the correctness and validity of the proposed method.
