The Cemented Carbide Coating Tools have formed a series, and have been widely used. At the same time, the Cemented Carbide Coating Tools are constantly developed. It is important to how the tribological properties of the Cemented Carbide Coating Tools are evaluated quickly and efficiently for designing to optimize the Cemented Carbide Coating Tools.At present, the main performance evaluating way of the Cemented Carbide Coating Tool is cutting experiment in the lathe. The effect of this way is intuitive, but the shortcomings are the long cycle, high cost, discreting test data and less controlling and so on. In order to improve the efficiency, the tribological properties of the Cemented Carbide Coating Tools are conveniently and quickly got after doing the experiment. In the thesis, UMT-2Tribometer matched with fixture designed specially simulates cutting in the lathe for the evaluation of the cutting property. Combined the white light confocal microscope, the wear-resisting property and the life of the Cemented Carbide Coating Tools are evaluated after doing the scratch test by UMT-2Tribometer. In order to analysis the wear mechanism of the Cemented Carbide Coating Tool, the friction area of the rake face of the hard alloy coating tool is scanned by Electronic Scanning Microscope and carried on the energy spectrum analysis by Energy Disperse Spectroscopy. Based on the analysis of the experimental data, the thesis had obtained these conclusions:(1) When the reasonable parameters, the experimental method and special fixture were designed, the tool rubbed with the test piece in UMT-2Tribometer can simulate the tool rubbed with the workpiece in the lathe. The comparing of the average friction coefficients got in the lathe and UMT-2Tribometer can prove the consistency of the property of the tool in two experimental conditions.(2) After doing the friction in UMT-2tribometer,the average friction coefficients of four tools were measured. The result was shown below:the average friction coefficient of the tool B<the average friction coefficient of the tool C<the average friction coefficient of the tool D<the average friction coefficient of the tool A. In the same cutting condition, the cutting forces of the four tools were reflected. The result was shown below:the tool B <the tool C <the tool D <the tool A.(3) After doing the friction experiment in UMT-2Tribometer, the cutting abilitise of four Cemented Carbide Coating Tools have decreased to some extent. The cutting abilities of the four tools were shown below:the tool B<the tool D<the tool C<the tool A, so the wear-resistance and the life of the four tools were shown below:the tool B> the tool D> the tool C> the tool A.(4) After doing the friction experiment in UMT-2Tribometer, the main wear mechanism of four Cemented Carbide Coating Tools were the adhesive wear and the oxidative wear.
