Phenolic resin fiber refers to the cross-linked fiber made by novolac phenolic resin or thermosetting phenolic resin which is flame-retardant organic fibers through acetalization or complexation.It Is the cheapest flame retardant fiber nowadays.At the sane time,it broke the conclusion that the thermosetting resin can not be used to produce fibers. Phenolic resin to be processed into monofilament, multifilament or tow is Used for clothing, interior decoration, curtains, carpets, electrical insulation sheet enhancement materials and so on Through the form of woven, knitted or woven material form since then with the advantage of heat-resistant, flame retardant, anti-melting, chemical resistant and a number of excellent performance.Phenolic fiber cross-section is usually oval which was a pale golden yellow. The performance of the fiber is influenced by the chemical and physical properties of the phenolic resin, the fiber diameter, curing methods and the degree of crosslinking.The fiber forming process of chemical fiber is generally callled spinning.There are many ways about spinning,and usually the main three ways are melting, dry and wet spinning. These three methods all have their own shortcomings which mainly is large,complex process equipment and serious pollution problems.With the development of science and technology, a cheaper, simple and green fiber forming means is needed.The essay used new fiber forming means:polymer fibers are formed by means of horizontal rotating disc centrifugal fiber forming, and the degree of orientation and preparation of fiber and heat resistance are tested, by using wide-angle X-ray diffraction method for the determination of the degree of orientation of the phenolic fiber, thermogravimetric method for the determination of the heat resistance of that,BeiruiKe optical birefringence method for the determination of diameter of that. the performance of fiber made by rotating disc centrifuge methods and the changes of the nature of the fiber made by different processing temperature are observed. Diffraction pattern of the fiber axis parallel to the radial direction of the diffraction pattern and the fiber axis direction parallel to the equator line were tested by wide-angle X-ray diffraction method. If the diffraction spectra measured shows that the sample crystallite preferred orientation exists. Above diffraction pattern of a crystal surface, the detector fixed20angle position of the crystal surface is to be scanned, and the size of the degree of orientation will be calculated by the computer.In this thesis, X-ray diffraction method to determine the value of different fiber orientation of the horizontal rotary disc centrifugal fiber preparation. And combination of different processing temperatures of phenolic resin fiber orientation and heat changes, suggesting that the influence of processing temperature on the performance of phenolic resin fiber, which lays a foundation for the mature of the new type of phenolic resin fibers into fiber technology.
