Mesoporous material attracted a great deal of attention because of its advantages of large surface area, large adsorption capacity, narrow pore size distribution, adjustable pore size and channel ordered since it was discoverd in1992. It become the excellent material for adsorption and catalysis. This paper focuses on preparation and application of MCM-41mesoporous material chemically modified by Ti4+and Al3+ions.In this paper, CTAB was used as tempalte agent and TEOS was added as silicon source. A gel was formed under the alkaline condition at the room temperature. The MCM-41mesoporous material was obtained through washing, filtering, drying and calcining. Ti-MCM-41and Al-MC-M-41mesoporous materials were chemically modified by Ti4+and Al3+on the basis of MCM-41mesoporous material. Then Ti-Al-MCM-41and Al-Ti-MCM-41were synthesized by the immer-sion method. The samples were characterized by the specific surface area analyzer, infrared spe-ctrometer, atomic adsorption spectrometer and X-ray diffraction instrument. The adsorption behavior of all kinds of synthesized mesoporous materials for Cu2+, Pb2+and Cd2+in wastewater was evaluated. The results showed that:the adsorption efficiency of Al-Ti-MCM-41(nAi/nTi=1) on Cu2+and Cd2+was optimal, the adsorption rate to be achieved respectively99.95%and99.80%. The adsorption efficiency of Al-Ti-MCM-41(nAi/nTi=2) on Pb2+was optimal, the adsorption rate was99.96%. The effect of adsorbent dosage, initial concentration of heavy meatl ions, temperature and time was studied. Finally, the elution efficiency of citric acid, oxalic acid and EDTA complexing reagent of Al-Ti-MCM-41(nAi/nTi=1) on Cu2+, Pb2+and Cd2+was studied. The results showed that:the desorption rate of citric acid on Cu2+and Cd2+were respectively99.50%and99.92%. The desorption rate of oxalic acid on Pb2+was achieved to99.83%. The results of this study provide theoretical and technical support for the heavy metal pollution treatment in the sewage. And in this sence, the study has a clear and practical significance.
