Research On The Mechanisms Of Modiifed Starch On Phosphorus Flotation

The surface properties and flotation behavior of minerals,such asphosphate, dolomite and quartz.were investigated by the actual mineralflotation tests, single mineral flotation test, the measurement of zetapotential as well as infrared spectrometry potential.The actual minerals flotation investigate the influence to Dayukou oreand scrubbing tailings by cation starch,oxidation starch,causticizing starch,CMC and CMS.Through the test we find that cation starch was available forDayukou ore flotation, oxidation starch was available for scrubbing tailingflotation. The crudeDayukou ore grade of23.38%achieve the phosphorusconcentrate grade P₂O₅30.09%, production rate71.79%, and the recoveryrate92.43%of P₂O₅flotation index by a thick ore flotation a fine a sweepreverse flotation one thick a closed-circuit test and pure two process. Thecrude scrubbing tailings ore P₂O₅grade25.45%achieve the phosphorusconcentrate grade P₂O₅30.04%, production rate76.30%, and the recoveryrate90.11%of P₂O₅flotation index by a thick ore flotation a fine aclosed-circuit test and process.Modified starch depress to the phosphate rock, dolomite and quartz.For phosphate rock, dolomite and quartz in the modified starch inhibition is:CMC> CMS> oxidation starch> cationic starch. By the measurementsof zeta potential and the infrared spectrometry potential，the reagentsstructure reactivity relationship is studied. Each starch reagent has its ownmode of action on mineral surface，such asprimary starch mainly byhydrogen bond,cationic starch by the co-action of hydrogen bond andelectrostatic force,while CMS、CMC and oxidation starch bychemieal forceaccompanied with hydrogen bond and electrostatic force in part.CMC and CMS show powerfully depressing capacity of phosphaterock dolomite and quartz. Oxidation starch and cation starch have a certain selectivity on the three minerals. Oxidation starch and cation starch can be astronger depressant on quartz.The application of oxidation starch reinforcesthe flotation of phosphate and shows positive action on phosphate flotation.
