As a developmental research with great prospect, membrane separation technology has been widely applied in the modern industry. Industrial wastewater and groundwater is the main pollutant volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and its water pollution has caused widespread concern and attention around the world. Pervaporation (PV) as a membrane separation technology, with its simple operation, no pollution, low energy consumption, no additional separation agents, in particular, is not subject to restrictions of a vapor-liquid equilibrium separation and high efficiency, showing that the separation technology is strong advantages than the traditional and it is becoming a new method of a waste water removal and recovery from VOCs. Therefore, in-depth studying the performance of pervaporation processes and applying this method from the removal and recovery of VOCs in aqueous solution in this area has important theoretical and practical significance.Trial preparation of PTFE filled PDMS pervaporation membrane, And analysis of mechanical properties, SEM, thermal stability. It was found that, with the amount of PTFE filled increasing, elongation at break and tensile strength are increased first and then decreased. Appropriate amount of PTFE filling can improve the mechanical properties of membrane, and appropriate filler content of PTFE is20%-40%. The characterization results of SEM show that filling PTFE is just a simple physical process. The thermal stability of PDMS composite membrane has been effectively improved by filling. And further the effects of feed temperature, feed concentration, vacuum degree, content of PTFE on the pervaporation performance of ethanol/water and chloroform/water solutions were also examined. It showed that with the increasing of feed concentration, PDMS composite membrane separation factor and flux both increased. The separation factor and fluxes of PDMS composite membrane increased with temperature increasing. With the amount of PTFE filled increasing, the flux of membrane decreased and the separation factor increased firstly and then decreased.
