Preparation Of The Modiifed Polyamide Polyamine Enhancer And Its Application In Tube Roll Base Paper

Tube roll base paper is made of waste paper and multiple recycling of waste paperwould directly affect its strength. How to improve the strength of tube roll paper hasattracted much attention and become a major concern of many enterprises. In this paper,we synthesized a modified polyamide polyamine enhancer, and then by three ways(used in the pulp, surface sizing, used in pulp and surface sizing) applied in tube rollbase paper, and the mechanisms of modified polyamide polyamine enhancer wasdiscussed.1. Polyamide polyamine (PPC) was synthesized by adipic acid anddiethylenetriamine, the factors affecting the preparation of PPC was discussed, such asthe molar ratio of diethylenetriamine to adipic acid, the dosage of catalyst, the reactiontime, and the reaction temperature. The result showed that the molar ratio ofdiethylenetriamine to adipic acid is1.1:1, the dosage of catalyst is1.0%, and thereaction temperature is165℃.Then PPC with epichlorohydrin cross-linked to generatethe PAE, the reaction time is60-100min, and the temperature is60℃. And then PAEwas modified by styrene, Emulsifier is OP-10and Span-80, the amount of acrylic is6%,the ratio of styrene and PAE is2:1, holding time4h, the emulsion concentration of20%,the amount of initiator is0.7%.2. The application of modified polyamide polyamine enhancer to tube roll basepaper through different ways, the factors affecting strength of tube roll base paper wasdiscussed. The condition when modified polyamide polyamine enhancer used in pulp is:beating degree between40-45°SR, the amount of aluminum sulfate is1%, the amountof modified polyamide enhancer is1%. The factors affecting sizing were discussed, andresults were as follows: the glue consumption is4g/m2, the concentration of oxidizedstarch and PVA between4%-6%, and the concentration of modified polyamidepolyamine enhancer is8%. The effect of compound sizing agent is better, the amount ofmodified polyamide polyamine enhancer is10%-15%(based on the amount of oxidizedstarch), and the sizing temperature is60°C. The application of modified polyamidepolyamine enhancer to tube rolls base paper through sizing and pulping, the usage ofmodified polyamide polyamine enhancer is0.4%, the glue consumption of compoundsizing agent is3g/m2, the concentration of compound sizing agent is3%-4%.3. Mechanisms of modified polyamide polyamine enhancer were discussed.
