Microwave treatment of oily waste water, which has lots of advantages such as high efficiency, energy-saving and pollution free, is very important to the oil production and environmental protection. Adding salt to improve treatment efficiency of microwave breaking of emulsion has been a new way to treat oily waste water.The article made a systematical research on the mechanism of effects of salt on microwave breaking of emulsion.First of all, experiments of microwave parameters effects on the oil removal rate and zeta potential were carried. Meanwhile,affecting law of the elements including ion nature, valence, radius and concentration was studied by large number of experimental studiesand experiments of microwave parameters effects onthe oil removal rate and zeta potential were carried with salts.Analyed the oil removal samples of particle size distibution. According to the relevant thesis of microwave heating and the emulsion fluid, this paper analyzed the mechanism of effects of salt on microwave breaking of emulsion combined with the nature of inorganic ions.By using uniform design, studied the relation between microwave power, action time, salt concentration and deoiling rate, and the empirical formula was fitted.Finally, the Droplet dynamics model of Salt emulsions was established through analyzing the force of emulsion containing salt in the high frequency electromagnetic. Also, the salt promoting effect was analyzed from the the Angle of its dielectric constant change fater add salt and showed the model conclusion using the experimental data.Experimental results and theoretical analysis shows that a small amount of salts can significantly promote the effect of microwave demulsification. Microwave parameters and the ion concentration are the main factors which promotes the effects,and inorganic salts’effects are related to ionic radius, valence, the activity coefficient and concentration of salts.The reason is that inorganic salt ion can neutralization with the zhongyou bead surface’negative charges of water bag oil type of emulsion, make zeta potential reduced also oil bead collision and gather easily, separated from water, and achieves the deoiling effects.
