Wetland in the Shuangtaizi estuary belongs to coastal wetland system. It not onlyhas the role of climate regulation, water purification, and also stabilizes the coast toprevent seawater intrusion. But in recent years due to the impact of human activitiesand climate changes, reed wetland in Panjin was seriously damaged, which resulted inthe degradation of reed communities, reed swamp wetland ecological functions,directly to affect the entire ecological environment of estuary.On the basis of analyzing hydrodynamic conditions of Shuangtaizi Estuary, tidalriver hydrodynamic and water quality model is established based on DHI MIKE11model system using collected river water regime, meteorological data and measuredriver salinity data. And then the model is validated. Combined with the runoffanalysis and characteristics of reeds growth, spatial and temporal distributions ofquality and quantity of river were simulated under different scenarios, such as currentor expanded conservancy facilities. This ecological water regulation for wet year,average year and dry year was proposed. The major results are as follow:(1) In dry year, reed wetland ecological water can’t be satisfied. Throughadjusting operation order and interval time, combined with joint operation of rubberand channel, available water amount can meet the demand of first time reed irrigation.The concrete scheme is described as follow: pumping of Shengli, Shuguang, Hongqistation are21.6m~3/s,9.6m~3/s and18.7m~3/s, respectively; Shuguang and Hongqipumping station start to extract firstly, Shengli pumps after6days later, controllingWanjintan gate to ensure the amount and appropriate salinity of tidal mixing water.First time irrigation increased6.4×10~7m~3of brackish water and amount of watershortage was4.38×10~7m~3. Insufficient section can be supplied from the impoundingof rubber dam through Houzhaojia channel.(2) In average year, reed wetland ecological water can’t be satisfied. Through adjusting operation order and interval time, available water amount can meet thedemand of first and second time reed irrigation. The concrete scheme is as follow:pumping of Shengli, Shuguang, Hongqi station are21.6m~3/s,6m~3/s and11.6m~3/s,respectively; Shuguang and Hongqi pumping station start to extract firstly, Shenglipumping station pumps after6days later, controlling Wanjintan gate to ensure theamount and appropriate salinity of tidal mixing water.(3) The construction of Shuguang rubber dam can significantly improve RaoyangRiver diversion and affect the salinity of mixed water; The rise of sea level can makesalinity of the river channels increase, available amount of water resources reduced by8.5×10~7m~3in dry year and increased by1.83×10~7m~3in average year, respectively.
