According to the presence of gas disaster problem in the Chengshan coal miningprocess, this thesis, from the geological perspective, studies the gas geological rulesand predictions in Chengshan coal mine combining with the methods of qualitativeanalysis, quantitative calculation and drawing. The thesis applies the gas occurrence of plate structure control theory, analysesthe characteristics of tectonic evolution and tectonic distribution of Jixi coalfield, combining with the gas occurrence features existing in mining area, and comes to theconclusion that geological structure is the main factor of gas occurrence in the miningarea gas. It also gives a qualitative analysis of factors, which impact on Chengshancoal gas occurrence, such as geological structure, coal seam roof, floor lithology, overlying rock thickness, coal thickness, angle, coal seam floor elevation, etc. and arecarried out multivariate regression analysis by SPSS software, then concludes that thecoal seam floor elevation is the most important factor affecting gas content. ThroughSPSS software regression analysis, the thesis establishes a regression mathematicalmodel taking coal seam floor elevation as predictor variables and gas content as thedependent variable, based on the equation, the3B#,25#layer gas content forecast canbe realized. Besides, gas geological statistics method is used to establish the relationto prediction of gas emission and predict3B#,25#layer coal face gas emission. For3B#,25#layer of coal and gas outburst danger prediction, the gas content which isgreater than8m3/t area belongs to the outburst dangerous area. According to theprediction results, LongruanGIS3.0gas geological map drawing system is used todraw3B#,25#layer1:5000mine gas geological map.The paper has32figures,35tables and53references.
