According to the project of Jilin Province Education Department, in the paper, it is talked about the polishing process and polishing mechanism research of the non-abrasive cryogenic polishing on cylindrical surfaces.It was introduced the polishing experimental device and the producing process of the polishing ice tool in detail. It was also elaborated the test method after polishing the work piece. And in the experiment, the different ice tools, different rotation speeds, different pressures from the cylinder and different polishing time were all analyzed on metal cylindrical polishing surfaces. In the conditions, the polishing law will be found. In the final, the best polishing process parameters will be concluded. At the same time, it will take use of surfaces theory and mental materials structure and other relevant knowledge to explain the polishing mechanism in micro field.
