Synthesis, Structure And Properties Of Coordination Compounds Containing Transition Metal And V-Shape Carboxylic Acid

In recent years, metal carboxylate complexes have been extensively studied, because the variety of coordination model of carboxylic acid ligands and their complexes possess unique properties and novel structures. There are three synthesis methods of metal-organic complex crystal:conventional solution method, diffusion, and water (solvent) thermal method. Which hydrothermal synthesis as a method of single crystal has been studied extensively.Two kinds of V-shape carboxylic acids ligands:4,4’-(2-Acetylpropane-l,3-diyl) dibenzoic acid (L1),4,4’-(2-carboxypropane-1,3-diyl) dibenzoic acid (L2) were first obtained and characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography in this article. Five novel metal-organic complexes [Co(phen)2L(H2O)](1)、[CoL(bpy)(H2O)]n (2)、[MnL(phen)2(H2O)](3)、[Mn3(HL)2(L)2(phen)2]n (4)、[MnL(bpy)(H2O)]n (5)[L=4,4’-(2-acetylpropane-1,3-diyl)dibenzoic acid, phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bpy=2,2’-bipyridine] were synthesized by hydro-thermal method with H2L1, phen and bpy, then structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction Analyses, IR spectroscopy, thermo gravimetric analysis. It is found that1and3are isolated-molecule in the unit cell.2and5are1d zigzag metal-organic complexes, and the existence of hydrogen bonds makes them expand into the supramolecular.4contain linear trinuclear Mn units. At the same time, the magnetic properties of these metal-organic complexes are also measured and analyzed.Four novel metal-organic complexes [Mn3(L2)2(bpy)2]n (6)、[Mn3(L2)2(phen)2]n (7)、[Pb(HL2)(phen)]n (8)、[Cd3(L2)2(phen)2]n (9)[phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bpy=2,2’-bipyridine] were synthesized by hydro-thermal method with H3L2, then structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction Analyses.6,7and9, both with three-dimensional core structure unit network topology; the structure8is one-dimensional chain. In addition, we also related to the nature of these complexes were characterized.
