At present, with the global economy swiftly developing, many seriousproblems, such as, global ecological damage, wasting of resources andenvironmental contamination are generating from recklessly exploitation of naturalresources and free utilizing of natural environment. Remanufacturing is anenvironmentally friendly systematic engineering which suitable for the strategy ofsustainable development. It is also a best approach to resolve the above seriousproblems and refurbish the discarded equipments. Surface engineering, the keytechnology of reproduction engineering, is an effective measure to dispose thecorrosion and fretting of the discarded parts and components. Analysising theproducts which using surface reproduction engineering in coating design stage is ofgreat reality significance.This paper, at first, is based on FEM and classic Hertz Contact Theory, andtaking the cylinder final motion mat model with coating as research object the largefinite-element analysis software ABAQUS as tools. It built up the reliable cylinderfinal motion mat surface coating contact hierarchy FEM and computed its stressdistribution in the contact area. It also studied the influence of vertical pressure andaxial load width and frictional factor over coating or matrix interface and pressdistribution in contact surface along with contact width and contact slide area. Then,the essay underpinning MSR and SSI parameters method, combining finite elementcalculated results, forecasted the initiation characteristics of fatigue cracks on thesurface coating of cylinder final motion mat model, the initiation characteristicsincluding its location and directions. By means of comparing SSI and MSRparameters, it proved the feasibility of using SSI parameter to predict crackinitiation characteristics in surface coating of cylinder final motion mat. It has alsoanalysised the difference between the two parameters. At last, the thesis appliedSSI parameter to predict the crack initiation characteristics, analysised the changeof the press in contact areas through converting vertical pressure on final motionmat and cyclic loading size on plane test piece and frictional factor between finalmotion mat and test piece.
