Currently, the atmospheric environment monitoring system has many defects,such as the small monitoring area, the slow testing speed and the litlle monitoringtype. The paper study and design the atmospheric environment monitoring systembased on Internet of Things, The paper’s main research works are as follows:(1) On the basis of analysising the home and abroad’s status quo ofenvironment monitoring system, the paper design the overall system architecture ofreal-time monitoring system for the muti-component gas based on the Internet ofThings.(2) In order to realize the data collection and short distance transmission of themulti-component gas, apply ZigBee technology to build the data acquisition andtransmission network. Analyze Wireless Sensor Networks based ZigBee protocol,the paper design node module and introduce muti-sensor data acquisition circuitdesign methods. Then paper presents the design flow for sensor nodes and sinknodes.(3) In order to realize the long distance transmission between the datacollection nodes and the monitoring center, the multi-component pollutant gatewaynodes are designed. And transplanted Windows CE5.0embedded operating systemto the gateway platform. For the data transmission between sink node and gatewaynode, the paper design the serial communication program, for the remotetransmission of monitoring data, the paper design GPRS data transmission program.(4)Adopt VC6.0and SQL database to program the monitoring center’ssoftware function, the main function includes: the data communication with themonitoring sites, the monitoring data’s display and preservation, the historicaldata’s query and data report’s generation.Then the experiment verified thereliability of system’s data transmission.
