Microsecond pulse electrochemical machining (ECM)improves machiningaccuracy and surface quality effectively, it improves the level of Electrochemicalmachining to exact Machining.Aiming at the process of Microsecond pulse electrochemical machining, a kindof high frequency high power microsecond pulse supply which used full-bridgeinverter and PWM technology is developed. Devised three-phase full-bridgerectifier Circuit, full-bridge inverter using IGBT as chopper components, drivingcircuit, high frequency transformer and snubber circuit.Designed and fixed a generating pulse circuit using SG3525A PWM controlchip and Voltage regulator circuit. Analyzed the voltage and current abnormalitieswhich caused by short circuit or spark between anode and cathode in the process ofmicrosecond pulse electrochemical machining, identified three main detectionsignals. A kind of quick short-circuit protection circuits is developed.Devised the structure of the supply and installed it,completed the moduledebugging. The output waveform is a stable high frequency square wave when thesupply connected load, it meet the requirements of micro-second pulseelectrochemical machining.
