In this paper, we did the following works:1. A series of Salen ligands and SalenMX complexes were synthesized and their structures werecharacterized by IR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR and UV-Vis.2. The triphenylphosphine was probed coordination behaviors with a equivalent of metal cobaltions at ambient temperature.3. The polymerization of endic anhydride and propylene oxide with CO2can provide aterpolymer. We investigated configuration and consumption of endic anhydride as well asreaction temperature, CO2pressure and reaction time. The results showed that terpolymer chainis divided into two blocks, the first block is provided by the random polymerization of endicanhydride and a small number of propylene oxide with CO2and the other by propylene oxideand a small number of endic anhydride with CO2.4. The terpolymer was characterized by DSC and TGA, which has two thermal decompositiontemperature and two glass transition temperature. They are all higher than dipolymer.5. The terpolymer was modifided by hydride reduction and sulfurization reaction. Tg ofhydrogenated terpolymer did not change and Td reduced20oC. Tg of sulfided terpolymerreduced8oC and Td increased60oC.
